Highland Mountains

Glencoe is the remains of an ancient supervolcano that erupted about 420 million years ago. The jagged granite mountains are the remnants of massive volcanic activity. During the Ice Age which followed the volcanic era, huge sheets of ice built up and the glaciers cut through Glencoe, forming the sharp ridges and deep glens which remain today.

A collection of landscapes, showcasing the beautiful landscape of Glen Coe in Scotland.
